Mazda CX-60 SUV 2.5 PHEV Homura 5dr Auto [Convenience/Pan Roof] Owner Review

In their own words
I work from home and do many short runs to school with the kids and the short EV range is absolutely fine for what I use it for. I charge it every night so rarely use above 25 miles even with runs to my local town included. On longer journeys I would never pay service station prices for electricity so charge as you drive works perfectly for me. Many reviews say the suspension is hard which I really dont understand. OK it's not air ride like a Q7 or Grand Cherokee but it is still comfortable, handles so much better and is good fun on the right roads. Build quality of the interior is excellent and the space in the front is very good. The seats could have more lumbar support which is my only gripe. I have 3 children but they are not the tallest kids so the space in the back is fine, however if I had 3 rugby playing lads I probably would have chosen something else. The 1500watt outlet in the boot is very useful and I opted for the driver assistance pack on top of the convenience/pan roof packs which I really think should have been included as standard. The doors do close with a rather lightweight noise and a little more soundproofing would have been nice but at the price I can't complain. My last 2 SUV were 2016 Grand Cherokee and 2019 Santa Fe and I much prefer the drive of the CX-60 as the others were just too wallowy for my taste. My Wife's XC40 Recharge is probably slightly better built but I find the Volvo interior illogical in its layout and the CX-60 appears to have been designed with usability and common sense in mind. Not sure why by default the touchscreen is disabled for car play but this is easily turned on, however as someone suffering with a frozen shoulder, I love the jog wheel n the centre console. The Bose audio system is very good but again I dont understand why by default the Bose Centrepoint tech is disabled by default. Performance of the PHEV unit is excellent, the engine loves to rev when warm thanks to being naturally aspirated. It can be a little rough when cold though. In a sprint from the traffic lights it isn't going to keep up with an SQ5 but at just under 6 seconds its quick enough to see off most of the boy racers if thats your thing.
